The AHA was deeply saddened by news of the death in January of Professor Emerita Jill Roe. Jill did a great deal for the AHA, including serving four years as president and we are honoured to award a prize in her name (see Prizes and Awards below). She will be greatly missed for her wit, her sharp mind and her commitment to the profession. Our sympathies to her life companion, Beverly Kingston, and family. Obituaries will appear in the next AHA newsletter, to properly mark her contribution to the discipline of history in Australia.
