Monash is seeking to appoint a Professor of History to build upon its longstanding research strength in history, and to position the School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies as a global leader in innovative research and teaching practice in the discipline of history. The appointee will have an outstanding international reputation in any field of history, although preference may be given to applicants who specialise in the fields of global, transnational or imperial histories in the early modern or modern periods. An exceptional track record of research and competitive research funding, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and pedagogical innovation, are essential requirements for the position. This role is a full-time ongoing position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
