Australian Catholic University is offering one full-time 3 year PhD scholarship to undertake research as part of the Australian Research Council-funded project ‘Transgender Australians: The History of an Identity’. This project aims to produce a history that traces the emergence of transgender identities in Australia since the early twentieth century. Applicants need to have an appropriate undergraduate Honours or Masters degree in history, Australian studies, gender studies or sexuality studies. We invite PhD applicants to submit a proposal that falls under the remit of this project, looking at a specifically focused aspect of research.
