Harvard University is seeking to appoint a distinguished scholar to the Gough Whitlam and Malcolm Fraser Chair in Australian Studies for the 2022–2023 academic year. Incumbents teach two courses, and will be expected to reside at Harvard for the full academic year. The Committee encourages applications from outstanding Australians in mid-career as well as those further advanced. It also strongly encourages applications from women and under-represented groups. Candidates must exhibit intellectual leadership and impact in a field of study and teaching relevant to Australian Studies. Candidates who are qualified to teach in a department, degree program or field of study offered in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences are particularly encouraged.
