ESEH 2021: Same planet, different worlds: environmental histories imagining anew (online possibilities)

The European Society for Environmental History (ESEH)'s conference is to be held for a post-plague world. Nothing could be worse than a return to normality. Historically, pandemics have forced humans to break with the past and imagine their world anew. This one is no different. The conference will offer some online possibilities for those delegates who cannot make it in person, including keynote and plenary livestreams, poster sessions, and opportunities to connect with each other online. The  Oral History Australia Biennial Conference will be held in Launceston, Tasmania from 14-16 October 2021. While the plan is to meet in solidarity and optimism for the biennial conference in Tasmania in 2021, if that proves to be impossible due to COVID-19 restrictions the conference will run online. AHA 2021

Due to ongoing issues arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, the organising committee of the 2021 AHA Annual Conference have pushed the conference back to 29 November to 2 December 2021. This revised timing represents the best chance for this conference to be primarily face-to-face, subject to the pandemic. More information (including a CFP) will follow but members are encouraged to put the revised dates in their diaries.

The Australian and New Zealand Society of the History of Medicine (ANZSHM) have released a Call for Papers for the 2021 Biennial Conference, themed ‘Innovation in Health and Medicine’. The conference will be held at the University of Newcastle, Australia from 1-4 December 2021. Financial assistance is available for some postgraduates. The Australian Society for the Study of Labour History (ASSLH) has released a Call for Papers for its Seventeenth Biennial Conference, with the conference theme “Fighting For Life: Class, Community and Care in Labour History”. The conference will be held 5-8 December 2021, at Bendigo, Victoria.
