Congratulations to Robert Reynolds and AHA members Shirleene Robinson and Paul Sendziuk for the publication of In the Eye of the Storm: Volunteers and Australia’s Response to the HIV/AIDS Crisis (UNSW Press, 2021). The people who volunteered to help during the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980s and early 1990s provided compassion and support to heavily stigmatised people. This book explores the crucial role of the men and women who volunteered at time of disaster.
