Another terrific tour has been announced for conference week. Dr Charles Fahey with Professor Keir Reeves will share their love of the Berry Deep Leads on Saturday 9 July, 9.45–1.00pm. This tour will look at the exploitation of gold from the deep leads in the Creswick-Smeaton district from the mid-1870s to the early twentieth century and examine several of the more spectacular mine dumps in the area.
The cost of $15 includes snack on arrival and lunch. Numbers are limited and you will need your own transport to Smeaton.
Book this tour when registering for the conference.
