Postdoctoral History Research Fellow, Griffith University

The Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research at Griffith University is seeking applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow in historical studies. The position is fixed-term, and is offered for a period of one year. The successful candidate will work from either our Nathan (Brisbane) or Gold Coast campus, and will have been awarded their PhD within the past three years. The Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research (GCSCR) Postdoctoral Fellowship (Historical Studies) has been established to attract, or retain, outstanding recent doctoral graduates who will carry out high-quality, internationally relevant research while also building the research capacity and performance of the Centre. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be mentored by senior historians and the Centre Director and Deputy Director to build track record, identify grant opportunities, apply for grants and to build capacity for nationally competitive grant schemes.

There is an expectation that the Postdoctoral Fellows will engage in collaborative research opportunities where possible.

Applications now due 8 March 2019.
