Applications are invited for two PhD studentships leading to the degree of PhD in the Archaeology and History Program (History), La Trobe University. The scholarships are part of an Australian Research Council Linkage Project, LP: LP160100099 ‘Faith on the Goldfields: Rediscovering religious diversity 1852-today’. Chief Investigators: Dr Jennifer Jones, Dr Timothy Jones, Dr Nadia Rhook, A/Prof Charles Fahey. Proposals to investigate historic links between belief and community relations are invited. The students may wish to undertake a study of the history of religious diversity and negotiated co-existence on the gold fields with a specific focus upon Muslim, Jewish or Aboriginal experience of belief, spirituality and religion.
