Bursaries to Support Candidates Applying for ARC Post-Doctoral Fellowships

ARC Australian Postdoctoral (APD) Fellowships provide opportunities for researchers at the postdoctoral level to undertake research of national and international significance and to broaden their research experience.
APD Fellowships are available to researchers with up to three years' research experience since the award of the PhD degree or equivalent research doctorate.

To support candidates applying for ARC Australian Postdoctoral Fellowships, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at La Trobe University is offering bursaries of $6,000 to well qualified candidates.

Applications are called for in the following fields: Archaeology, History, Literature, Linguistics, Media and Communications, Philosophy, Politics and Sociology.

How to apply
Applicants should send a statement of their proposed research project of up to 6 pages in length and a CV, including a full list of publications, to:

Siobhan McHugh and her article, 'Not in front of the altar: Mixed marriages and sectarian tensions between Catholics and Protestants in pre-multicultural Australia,' History Australia, vol. 6, no. 2 (2009) was featured in Hindsight's programme entitled 'Part One: Marrying Out,' Sunday 11 October 2009.
