Memberships are now open for 2012. AHA Memberships run from February to February and current members are reminded to renew their membership BEFORE 28 February 2011. If you do not renew by the end of February, or if you buy a membership after that date, you will no longer receive retrospective print editions of History Australia. You will receive immediate online access, and will be posted print editions (unless you opt out of the print version) as they become available for the rest of 2012.
If you renew or join BEFORE February 28, 2012, you will receive immediate online access to History Australia and will receive all of 2012's print versions.
1. Individual/household - $95
2. Unwaged/retired - $50
3. Affiliate - $100
4. Student - $50
For that rate, in addition to online and print access to History Australia, members receive benefits such as registration discounts on AHA conferences including the Biennial National Conference of the AHA, representation of the discipline on numerous national bodies, a range of biennial awards and prizes in the year of the national conference, and access to the AHA email network.
Please note:
- A contribution of $12.50 will be required towards postage for overseas memberships.
- For members who do not wish to receive print copies of History Australia there is an opt-out option on the membership form.
- Email addresses are essential to the provision of online access to History Australia. Those who do not supply an email address are effectively waiving their right to online access. All renewing members will be emailed a username and password so they can access the journal online at any time, and email table-of-contents alerts will be sent to notify all members when a new issue of History Australia is published.
- The Australian Historical Association encourages student membership with a discounted annual subscription and opportunities to attend and present papers at its regional and national conferences.
- Institutions wishing to subscribe to History Australia should do so via the AHA Institutional Link.
- The Australian Historical Association has established an affiliate membership to facilitate professional communications and the interchange of information pertaining to the health of history in Australia. Affiliates are welcome to supply the AHA with information regarding their recent and up and coming activities. New applications for affiliation are welcomed.
