The History Council of Victoria, the peak body for history in Victoria, is launching a Friends program. For the first time, this gives everyone the chance to support our work to advocate for history and to educate Victorians about the value of history. The official launch of the Friends of the History Council of Victoria will be in Melbourne on Thursday 19 October from 6.30 to 8.00 pm. Guest speaker will be the HCV’s first Chair and one of Australia’s most influential historians, Professor Emeritus Stuart Macintyre AO, FAHA, FASSA.
