History in Print

History Australia is interested in reviewing any historical research published in book form by residents of Australia and New Zealand, especially by members of the AHA. Our brief includes all varieties of history philosophical and cultural as well as social and political, Asian and European as well as Australasian. If you are publishing an historical monograph or an edited volume and would like it reviewed in History Australia, please arrange for your publisher to send a copy to the Reviews editor, Anna Clark (address below). We would also like to have an electronic copy of the cover jacket to head the text, if we review your book.

We cannot promise to review every book received, but we will publish a list of all books received in each issue.

If you are interested in reviewing books for History Australia, please email Anna Clark with a brief CV and a list of the areas which interest you. Reviewers are not paid; their reward is a copy of the book reviewed, and of the issue of the journal in which their review appears.

History Exhibited

History Australia is interested in reviewing all exhibitions with historical content staged in Australia, and all those which present Australian history to the wider world. Our brief includes exhibitions in museums, art galleries, other institutions and virtual exhibitions on-line, and covers the history of art and artefacts as well as local, ethnic and national history. Curators and exhibitors who would like their exhibitions reviewed in History Australia should contact the Exhibitions Review Editor for 2009, Keir Reeves, at the address below.

If you are interested in reviewing exhibitions for History Australia, please email Keir Reeves with a brief CV and a list of the areas which interest you. Reviewers are not paid, but we will approach galleries and museums seeking free entry for our reviewers to relevant exhibitions and supply a free copy of the issue of the journal in which the review appears.
