The Society for Military History and UNSW Canberra are pleased to offer a bursary to support PhD and Early Career scholars to attend the conference ‘Towards a New History of the Interwar Period’ in Canberra. The bursary of $1000AUD is intended to allow scholars who might not otherwise be able to travel to Canberra to engage with the region’s foremost historians of war and the interwar period. The bursary reflects the commitment of the conference, UNSW Canberra and the Society of Military History to support the discussion of military history by historians with a wide range of approaches, topics and backgrounds. Scholars who take innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to military history, or who are currently studying areas not considered ‘traditional’ military history are particularly encouraged to apply.
