AHA/Cultural Institutions Honorary Research Fellowships Application Details will be added shortly.

The aim of this scheme is to assist historians with support facilities for research in Australian cultural institutions, normally during periods of study leave. Participating institutions to date are the National Library of Australia, the National Archives of Australia, State Records Authority of New South Wales, John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library and the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS). The maximum period of appointment will normally be 6 months.

Provision will be made by the participating institution to facilitate the conduct of research with regard to workspace, computer and other equipment, and the provision of specific research advice, the details to be obtained by negotiation between individual Fellows and the participating institution. Acknowledgement of the participating institution will be expected in the dissemination of work done during the Fellowship, and a copy of any publication must be deposited at the NLA.

The Selection Committee will consist of the CEO of the participating institution and the President of the AHA, or their nominees, and such others as they see fit to coopt, either permanently or on ad hoc basis. The Committee's decision will be final.

Applications will be called for biennially, but can be received at any time. For further information contact the AHA Executive Officer.
