Membership of the Australian Historical Association
MEMBERSHIP-2008
We would like to announce key changes to our journal History Australia. From 2008, you will get much more for your membership fee.
- There will be three issues of the journal per year (instead of two)
- All AHA individual members will receive print AND online access to the journal.
- A small increase in membership rates applies from 2008:
1. Individual/household - $75
For that rate, in addition to online and print access to History Australia, members receive benefits such as registration discounts on AHA conferences including the Biennial National Conference of the AHA, representation of the discipline on numerous national bodies, a range of biennial awards and prizes in the year of the national conference, and access to the AHA email network
2. Unwaged/retired -$40
3. Affiliate - $50
4. Student - $40
Please note:
- A contribution of $12.50 will be required towards postage for overseas memberships.
- For members who do not wish to receive print copies of History Australia there is an opt-out option on the membership form.
- Email addresses are essential to the provision of online access to
History Australia. Those who do not supply an email address are
effectively waiving their right to online access. All renewing members
will be emailed a username and password so they can access the journal
online at any time, and email table-of-contents alerts will be sent to
notify all members when a new issue of History Australia is published.
- The Australian Historical Association encourages student membership with a discounted annual subscription and opportunities to attend and present papers at its regional and national conferences. [see Postgraduate Students' page].
- The AHA will no longer administer institutional subscriptions to History Australia. Institutions wishing to subscribe to History Australia should do so via Monash University ePress: http://www.epress.monash.edu/pricingandordering.html#ha
