Public History Review
Going Public, the 8th volume of Public History Review has been released. This is our first volume produced by Halstead Press, a publisher of Australian history and fiction which we hope will launch Public History Review into a new phase of development.
Public History Review set out almost a decade ago to provide a substantive forum to pursue issues relating to public history and extend knowledge of public history as a field of knowledge. It has been interesting to see shifts in the field reflected in articles in both mode and theme over the years.
Volume 8 features articles such as – 'Social History and Deep Time' by Tom Griffiths, 'Australian History, Hypermedia and the World Wide Web' by Paul Turnbull, 'Collecting Mawson' by Barbara Wheeler and Linda Young, 'Mary Grant Bruce and the Bush Tradition' by Elizabth Sanders Cowell, and 'Presenting the Past at Kakadu and Uluru' by David Carment.
